On August 18, at 13:41 local time (09:41 GMT), the seismological network of the Territorial Seismic Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia recorded an earthquake.
It was 10 km deep, had a magnitude of 3.3, and was at 14 km northeast of Bavra village.
The geographical coordinates are 41.20⁰ north latitude and 43.93⁰ east longitude of the Georgia-Armenia border zone.
The strength of the quake at the epicenter reached 4-5 balls. It was felt in Armenian villages of Saragyugh and Bavra in Shirak region, and had a force of 3 balls.
