The US Department of State and the Department of Defense spread an announcement on Afghanistan. In particular, the announcement states, that currently steps are taken to ensure security in “Hamid Karzai” International Airport, which will give an opportunity to organize the departure of US allies staff from Afghanistan by civil and military flights.
“Within the last 48 hours the number of the staff dealing with security issues was managed to 6000 soldiers, whose mission is exclusively concentrated on supporting these efforts and controlling air transportation. Tomorrow and on coming days we will bring thousands of US citizens, who lived in Afghanistan, out of the country, also local workers of the US Embassy in Kabul and their family members”, states the announcement.
It is also mentioned that for the last two weeks more than 2000 Afghan refugees arrived in the US.
