Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin and his family continue getting acquainted with the sights of Armenia, as part of his vacation, informs the Facebook page of the Russian Embassy in Armenia.
On August 12, they visited a number of sights in Armavir region, including the 10th-century Church of Saint Shushanik and 6th-century Holy Trinity Church. Both churches are located in Bagaran village.
During the visit, Ambassador Kopyrkin also visited the duty station of the Armavir border detachment of the border patrol department of the FSB of Russia in Armenia, as well as posts and positions on the Armenian-Turkish border. Sergey Kopyrkin met with Russian and Armenian border guards, got acquainted with the problems they solve and the way they carry out joint service while protecting the borders of Armenia.
