Raging forest fires in Turkey caused huge financial loss to the country. According to the preliminary data, the extent of damage caused by fires in Turkey, exceeds $35 billion.
The 130 massive fires flared in 31 regions of Turkey are the largest in country’s history.
An investigation was started against the posts with the hashtag HelpTurkey, spread after large-scale forest fires’ outbreak. Ankara’s General Republican Prosecutor declared that an investigation would be carried out against the authors of the posts mentioned.
The prosecutor mentioned that some people and groups are trying to spread concerns and humiliate Turkey and its Government with the help of real or fake accounts.
