Today, Armen Sarkissian, President of the Republic of Armenia had a telephone conversation with Rumen Radev, President of the Republic of Bulgaria.
Both, Armenia’s and Bulgaria’s presidents agreed that the existing high-level political dialogue between two countries is a solid foundation for deepening the cooperation, based on Armenian-Bulgarian nations’ long-term historical-cultural ties.
The presidents considered the partnership to be perspective, especially in the areas of culture, education, innovation, biotechnology.
In 2022, Armenia and Bulgaria are to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, which is an additional stimulus for deepening mutual cooperation.
President Radev reaffirmed his invitation to President Armen Sarkissian to hold a state visit to Bulgaria.
