The recent armed incidents on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border are a matter of concern, and Russia is ready to provide all necessary assistance to resolve the situation, the Russian Foreign Ministry said, RIA Novosti reports.
“We are seriously concerned about the recent armed incidents in some parts of the Azerbaijani-Armenian border, which have resulted in casualties. We offer our condolences to the families of the victims and wish the injured a speedy recovery,” said Alexander Bikantov, Deputy Director of the Information and Press Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The Russian Foreign Ministry also called on the parties to refrain from any action fraught with further degradation of the situation, as well as to resolve all issues through political-diplomatic means.
“Russia is ready to continue providing the necessary assistance to resolve the situation on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border through de-escalation and speedy launch of joint demarcation work as soon as possible,” Bikantov said.
