The Azerbaijani Armed Forces not only continue to stay illegally in the territory of the Republic of Armenia, it is about the Sotk-Khoznavar section, but also continuously take provocations, thus trying to discredit CSTO system, Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced at the Government session.
“In order to implement this program, in parallel with provocations, Azerbaijan accuses Armenia of alleged provocations. Armenia, being a member of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), which will assume the chairmanship of the organization from September this year, Armenia understands its responsibility not to pose a security threat to CSTO, not to involve allied countries in battles. I officially rule out any provocation by Armenia’s Armed Forces. At the same time, I believe that one of the possible solutions to find out the truth of our and Azerbaijan’s mutual accusations is to deploy a CSTO monitoring mission along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, which is envisaged by the CSTO regulations,” Pashinyan said.
In the absence of such a mission within the CSTO, other international formats may be acceptable to us, including the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairing, he added.
