International military exercises Agile Spirit 2021 will be held in Georgia, the website of the European Command of the US Armed Forces reported. In addition to Georgia and the United States, servicemen from 13 NATO countries and partner states of the alliance will take part in them.
Among them are Germany, Great Britain, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Turkey, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and others. In total, more than 2.5 thousand soldiers will be involved in the exercises. The training exercises will be held from July 26 to August 6. These include command post training, field training and live-fire exercises.
Earlier in the Ukraine, the first land military exercises ‘Three Swords-2021’ began with the participation of military personnel from Lithuania, Poland and the United States. Until July 30, they will be held in the Lviv region. More than 1,200 military personnel and over 200 combat vehicles from NATO countries will take part in them. In March, the ships of the second permanent naval unit of the North Atlantic Alliance held exercises in the Black Sea with Georgian coast guard ships. Their goal was to increase the level of compatibility of naval units.
