On July 14, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Islamic Republic of Iran Artashes Tumanyan visited Zanjan Province, where he met with Governor Fathollah Haghighi.
The parties discussed a number of issues related to economic, cultural and tourism cooperation. Special attention was paid to the issues of increasing trade turnover, implementation of joint investment programs, inter-university cooperation, exchange of experience in the field of innovative technologies.
Within the framework of the visit, a business conference was held at the Zanjan Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture. Ambassador Tumanyan briefed the economic entities of the state on the Armenian economy, the state of the business environment, the opportunities for the implementation of joint investment programs, the prospects of cooperation within the EEU, as well as answering numerous questions from those present.
In Zanjan, the Armenian Ambassador also visited a number of production enterprises, during which the possibilities of economic activity in Armenia were discussed.
