US Congressman Brad Sherman asks USAID - US Agency for International Development Administrator Ambassador Samantha Power if the Biden Administration plans to allocate more than just $5 million to help the more than 100,000 Armenians violently displaced from Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) by Azerbaijani war crimes and aggression.
“As to the Caucasus, Secretary Blinken promised to work with us to help the 100,000 ethnic Armenians who have been driven from their homes by Azeri aggression. But so far, the US has provided $5 million or even less in help to these Armenians. Are you planning to do more?”
Samantha Power stated that they had been focused on the displaced. The ambassador expressed readiness to cooperate in this issue and stated that it is an issue close to her heart.
