The press service of the Russian Embassy in Azerbaijan refused to comment to Azerbaijani news agency haqqin.az about Ambassador Mikhail Bocharnikov's refusal to visit the occupied Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) city of Shushi at the invitation of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Infoteka24 reports.
“We do not comment on the schedule and trips of the Russian ambassador to Azerbaijan,” said Alina Zolotareva, press secretary of the embassy.
Earlier the US and French embassies, which together with Russia are co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, also refused to comment on the refusal of the heads of diplomatic missions to visit Shushi.
