In the village of Vank in the Mardakert district of Nagorno-Karabakh, officers of the Humanitarian Response Center and military doctors of the special medical unit of the Russian peacekeeping contingent organized a humanitarian and medical action.
For the arrival of Russian military doctors, the village administration prepared working rooms in the local hospital for the reception and provision of qualified medical care to local residents.
During the medical reception, the doctors of the special purpose detachment provided advisory and qualified medical assistance to the residents of the village.
The officers of the humanitarian response center handed over about 2 tons of medicines to a local hospital from Russian public organizations. They also held an action to issue food packages, basic necessities, warm clothes and children's toys to large families, internally displaced persons and local residents in need.
"At the moment, 68 families of internally displaced persons live in the village of Vank, 21 of these families are large families, for which we have brought humanitarian aid," said Dmitry Tusidi, a representative of the humanitarian response center.
In total, more than four tons of cargo were transferred during the humanitarian action.
