The European Parliament has adopted a resolution condemning the crackdown on Turkish opposition parties, particularly the pro-Kurdish People's Democratic Party, Infoteka24 reports.
The Christian Democrats, the Social Democrats, the Liberals, the Greens and the right-wing parties, approved the decision. A total of 603 deputies voted for the resolution, 2 against, 67 deputies abstained.
Growing pressure on Turkish opposition parties has been described in the resolution as worrying. It is stated that these pressures are directly related to the worrying human rights situation in the country and the violation of the law.
