China administered around 13.25 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine on July 6, taking the total to 1.33 billion doses, data from the National Health Commission showed on Wednesday, Reuters reports.
Earlier, China’s leading epidemiologist Zhong Nanshan announced the government's plans to vaccinate about 40% of the country's population by June, i.e. about 560 million people of more than 1.4 billion, TASS reports.
At the same time, the situation is dangerous in the southwestern Chinese province of Yunnan. In the last 24 hours, 15 new infections have been detected here, compared to 6 cases in the previous two days.
