US President Joe Biden is in favor of abolishing the death penalty in the country. The statement came from White House Spokeswoman Jen Psaki during a briefing, Lenta.ru reports.
“The president has made it clear that he wants to end the death penalty. He is pleased that the Attorney General is taking steps in that direction,” Psaki said.
According to her, Joe Biden has stated that he opposes the death penalty, and his team has promised to take steps to abolish it.
