Russian peacekeepers ensure the safety of local residents during hay harvesting in the Askeran district of Nagorno-Karabakh.
“Ensuring the safety of agricultural work takes place in the Askeran district. There are a lot of cultivated fields in the area, and they are located in the demarcation zone,” said Igor Sergeev, a representative of the Russian peacekeeping contingent.
Residents of the village of Shosh harvest hay in these fields for livestock, and also mow the grass to prevent it from falling.
The agricultural lands were checked for the presence of explosive objects and unexploded ordnance by Russian sappers.
