The United States Senate in New Jersey unanimously passed a resolution recognizing Artsakh hours ago, becoming the tenth state in the United States to recognize Artsakh’s independence. The President of the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Arayik Harutyunyan wrote about this on his Facebook page.
“Hours ago, the Senate of the US New Jersey State unanimously passed a resolution recognizing Artsakh, thus becoming the tenth state in the United States to recognize Artsakh’s independence.
On behalf of the people of Artsakh and myself personally I express my gratitude to the Armenian National Committee of America and Senator Joseph Lagan for the purposeful and active efforts.
There is no alternative to the international recognition of the right of the people of the Artsakh Republic to self-determination, we will continue our persistent struggle for the realization of this very goal,” Harutyunyan wrote.
