A meeting chaired by the Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan was held today, within the framework of which the epidemiological situation of the coronavirus in Armenia, the measures to prevent its spread, and the vaccination process were discussed.
Acting Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan, comparing coronavirus infection and vaccination outcome statistics, stated that out of 80,000 vaccinations to date, we have no bad cases, but out of 80,000 people infected with coronavirus, 1,600 have died. This indicates that vaccination is the most effective way to fight coronavirus, and public policy should be aimed at increasing the number of vaccines.
Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan noted the legitimacy of this monitoring, emphasizing that it is necessary to raise public awareness, to promote the vaccination process, the leader of which should be the public administration system and medical institutions.
Issues related to the promotion of the vaccination process, the observance of anti-epidemic rules, the provision of control measures necessary for economic activity and tourism activity were discussed.
Nikol Pashinyan instructed the Ministry of Health, through active interdepartmental cooperation, to discuss the mentioned ideas, proposals and to develop simulated solutions.
