Mustafa Keskin, one of the former leaders of the Turkish-Islamic Religious Union (DİTİB) in Germany, has been accused of “inciting hostility and hatred,” Ermenihaber writes.
Earlier, an investigation was launched against the Turkish figure for making insulting posts against Jews and Armenians on social networks, as a result of which in February 2021, the chairman of the DİTİB resigned.
The Administrative Court of Gottingen has issued an indictment against Keskin in connection with five different publications that have been made since May 2015 on Facebook and WhatsApp.
In one of them, Keskin published a photo of Pope John Paul II and Mehmet Ali Aghja who attempted to assassinate Pope John Paul II in Rome in 1981, as well as the photo of Pope Francis writing: “One should not be surprised if someone fires at Pope’s head.” This publication was made immediately after Pope Francis called the Armenian Genocide the first genocide of the 20th century.
