The World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, called on the world community to learn lessons from the current state of the coronavirus to prepare for a new epidemic and pandemic at the Small Island States Summit, Lenta.ru reports.
The head of the WHO stressed that everything possible should be done “to prevent, monitor and respond quickly to them.”
Ghebreyesus also spoke about the inequality of vaccines. According to him, many low-income countries have not yet received enough vaccines, and 77% of all vaccinations have been carried out in 10 countries.
