A few days ago, the Dutch parliament passed a resolution by an overwhelming majority, calling for pressure on Azerbaijan to release Armenian prisoners of war (POWs) and civilians.
The authors of the resolution clearly stated that the Geneva Convention on the Treatment of Captives obliges Armenia and Azerbaijan to immediately release them after the end of battles, however Azerbaijan stubbornly refuses to fulfill its obligations.
Moreover, Baku continues to make false accusations, trying to present the Armenian POWs as terrorists.
Suzy Muradyan talked to Mato Hakhverdyan, President of the Federation of Armenian Organizations of the Netherlands, about the resolutions adopted by the Dutch Parliament, the steps taken by the Armenian community, as well as the Armenia-Netherlands bilateral agenda.
