The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry was asked a question about violating the provision on the return of Armenian prisoners of war and detainees by Azerbaijan and a lawsuit filed against Armenian prisoners of war in Azerbaijan. Maria Zakharova commented on the position of the Russian side.
“The issue of prisoners of war and other detainees remains relevant, including in the context of the implementation of the trilateral statement of the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan singed on November 9, 2020. We welcome the transfer of 15 Armenian citizens to Yerevan by the Azerbaijani side on June 12 this year, and we are in favor of an ‘All for All’ exchange without preconditions. At the same time, we are working on the solution of other humanitarian issues,” Zakharova said.
