Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the possibility of creating a Turkish military base in Azerbaijan, Hurriyet reports.
According to him, this issue is not outside the clauses of the Shushi agreement signed by the two countries and its further development is possible.
As the Turkish President emphasized during his visit to Baku, the main thing now is to ensure the security of the borders.
“The negotiations that Ilham Aliyev and Vladimir Putin will hold between themselves, as well as that we will hold, can develop this topic,” stated Erdogan to journalists.
Earlier, Aliyev and Erdogan signed a declaration on allied relations between the two countries in Shushi.
