Beijing will more decisively oppose external interference in the affairs of China and Hong Kong, and any attempts to restrain the country’s development are “doomed to failure,” said Head of the Chinese Foreign Ministry’s Commissariat for the Special Administrative Region, Liu Guangyuan, TASS reports.
The diplomat noted that the recently adopted law on counteracting foreign sanctions in the PRC “comes from the urgent need to fight hegemonism and the politics of force.”
“The dignity and legitimate rights of the Chinese people should not be infringed upon, and the historical trend towards a great renewal of the Chinese nation under the leadership of the Communist Party of China cannot be stopped,” added the Foreign Ministry's special envoy.
