The criminal case initiated on the case of demolition of the cemeteries of the dead, buildings and objects on the graves dedicated to their memory in Avetaranots community of Artsakh’s Askeran region, left under Azerbaijani control as a result of the September 27, 2020 war unleased by the Republic of Azerbaijan against the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), and destroying them by Azerbaijanis on the grounds of national, religious, hatred and enmity, was accepted in the second investigation department of the Territorial Investigation Department of the Penitentiary of the Republic of Artsakh.
The preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated under Article 276, Part 2, Clause 2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Artsakh continues.
Notification: A person suspected or accused of an alleged crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Artsakh, by a court judgment that has entered into force.
