The US administration does not expect significant results from the Biden-Putin meeting, White House national security advisor Jake Sullivan stated. The meeting of Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden is scheduled for June 16 in Geneva.
“If you are expecting significant results, you probably have to wait a long time. The summit provides an opportunity for the US President to inform the Russian President about the ‘potential of our intentions and to hear the same from the Russian side,” Jake Sullivan said at a White House briefing.
According to him, now is the right time and place for a meeting between Russia and the United States.
