Iranian Minister of Energy Reza Ardakanyan stated, “During the 18 months of the interim agreement signed between Iran and the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), our country’s exports have increased by about 40 percent.”
As for his visit to St. Petersburg, the official said. “During the visit, I met with the EEU Secretary General. The Minister of Commerce of the Union also took part in the meeting.”
Ardakanyan added that talks had been held to make Iran’s and EEU agreement permanent, and that a decision had been made to submit a document on the terms to the Iranian side.
The Iranian Minister of Energy expressed hope to see the development of economic relations between the member states of the union and Iran in the near future.
