According to a poll published by the International Republican Institute (IRI), Acting Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan remains the highest-ranking politician in Armenia. As reported by Armenpress, when asked what they think about Nikol Pashinyan, 16% of the respondents assessed it as ‘very favorable’, and 29% - ‘favorable’.
Five percent of the respondents assessed the attitude towards the Speaker of the National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan as ‘very favorable’ and 35% as ‘favorable’. Three percent ‘very favorable’ and 25% ‘favorable’ to President Armen Sargsyan.
The attitude of 5 % towards one of the opposition figures, the second president of the Republic of Armenia Robert Kocharyan as ‘very favorable’ and 15% as ‘favorable’.
The survey was commissioned by the Center for In-depth Analysis of the International Republican Institute, the Caucasus Research Resource Centers - Armenia Foundation. The survey data were collected from April 8 to May 4, 2021. A total of 1502 people participated in the poll.
In five provinces of Armenia - Ararat, Gegharkunik, Shirak, Syunik and Tavush, 299 additional interviews were conducted to present the regional peculiarities. The survey was conducted by telephone with a random sample. Researchers note that the statistical error rate does not exceed 2.5%.
