Armenia’s Ministry of Defense responded to the statement of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, denying the information that the Armenian armed forces fired on the Azerbaijani military positions. Acting Minister of Defense Vagharshak Harutyunyan said this at the question-and-answer session with the members of the Government at the National Assembly, answering the question of ‘My Step’ faction deputy Nazeli Baghdasaryan.
“Azerbaijan’s idea is obvious. The Azerbaijanis used a weapon that killed an Armenian soldier, and now they are trying to hide it.
It is a trick on their part to show the public that the Armenian side is taking action. We know what tactics they have adopted. Aliyev says we are clarifying the border, there are no shots fired, but that shot was fired yesterday,” Harutyunyan said.
He urged the media not to spread that false information.
