On May 25, Acting Foreign Minister of Armenia Ara Aivazian received the Ambassadors of the CSTO member states - Sergey Kopirkin (Russia), Alexander Konyuk (Belarus) and Bolat Imanbayev (Kazakhstan).
The illegal infiltration of some Azerbaijani armed groups into some bordering territories of Armenia since May 12, which led to fatal injury of an Armenian serviceman on May 25, was the main topic of the meeting.
The Armenian Acting Foreign Minister stated that ignoring the calls of the international community, Azerbaijan not only does not withdraw its troops from the Armenian territory, but also initiates new illegal acts against a CSTO member-states.
Aivazian said that failure by the international community, first of all by the CSTO and CSTO member states to respond adequately to the deadly actions of the Azerbaijani armed forces will lead to further escalation of the situation fraught with the worst consequences in terms of regional security and stability.
