European parliamentarian Tom Vandenkendelaere, member of the Group of the European People’s Party, referred to the Armenian prisoners of war at discussion of the European Parliament session.
“Let us be clear. The Armenian prisoners of war cannot be libeled criminals. Both Armenia and Azerbaijan are partners in our Eastern Policy and Eastern neighbors cannot fight with each other. Sufficient pressure must be put on Azerbaijan, they cannot remain entirely unpunished. I think that maximum investigation on the criminal human rights violations is needed,” he said.
