The State Service of Emergency Situations of the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Ministry of Internal Affairs sums up the week.
From May 10 to 16, 2021, 829 calls were registered at the Crisis Management Center of the State Service of Emergency Situations. The number of fires has decreased compared to the previous week. Most of the six fires recorded were in dry grassy areas.
Five calls were registered about traffic accidents. Five citizens were injured. The rescuers provided first aid to the injured and transported them to the hospital by ambulance. Unfortunately, no one was saved.
The fatal accident took place on May 16 in Askeran region.
The sappers of the service continue the reconnaissance work on daily basis in the territory of the republic, at the same time neutralizing the found ammunition.
Thirty-nine calls were registered in this regard, and during the week 320 explosives, 6 anti-tank mines, 43 cluster missiles, 388 cannon shells, 6 cluster bombs, 9 hand grenades, 9 grenade launchers were neutralized.
Forty-tree calls of social-domestic nature were registered, seven of which were for opening the door, three for transporting a patient, one for opening the elevator, 12 for water supply. The rescuers also provided technical assistance to the population.
By the order of the Minister of Internal Affairs Karen Sargsyan and on the instruction of the director of the service Mekhak Arzumanyan, the exercises and trainings envisaged by the curriculum continue in all subdivisions of the State Service of Emergency Situations of the Artsakh Ministry of Internal Affairs.
