French Ambassador to Armenia Jonathan Lacôte commented on the events on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border in a unique way on his
Facebook page. The French diplomat quoted Hovhannes Shiraz’s ‘Impromptu’ in Armenian and French.
“We were at peace like our mountains,
You came like the crazy winds.
We faced each other like our mountains,
You screamed like the mad winds.
Eternal we are like our mountains,
You will pass like mad winds,” wrote the French Ambassador to Armenia in French and in Armenian.
