Information security expert Samvel Martirosyan said that Azerbaijan again appeared in Facebook’s Coordinated Inauthentic Behavior Report. It says that their CIB investigation found links to individuals associated with the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan. The Facebook administration removed 124 Facebook accounts, 15 Pages, 6 Groups and 30 Instagram accounts from Azerbaijan that targeted primarily Azerbaijan.
“They worked on the domestic audience, as well as against Armenia. About $15,500 was spent on advertising. It is clear from the screenshots that the fake farm also spread disinformation just during the war in Armenian.
When I asked if this group had anything to do with the destroyed Azerbaijani group found in October last year, I was told that they had not found any connection.
The picture shows examples of Azerbaijani fakes,” Martirosyan wrote.
