Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ara Aivazian stated at a joint press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov that a wide range of issues was discussed today due to the current level of Armenian-Russian allied cooperation.
“Issues related to both bilateral cooperation and partnership on multilateral platforms were addressed in an atmosphere of sincerity and trust.
In the context of bilateral relations, the intensity of interstate dialogue was emphasized at all levels, including the highest level. The active cooperation between the ministries and departments is also visible. We expect that as a result of the regular meetings of the trade-economic and military-technical intergovernmental commissions, clear, joint steps will be taken to positively improve the cooperation, increase the trade turnover, and the further expansion of the cooperation. Our focus was on the frequency of consultations between our departments and the inclusion of new content directions.
I emphasized the interest of the Armenian side in promoting our partnership to fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, including through the use of the Russian anti-virus vaccine,” Aivazian stated.
