The search for the remains of servicemen, volunteers or civilians who died during the hostilities and are still missing continues today with one rescue detachment in Varanda (Fizuli) region, Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).
Since November 13, 2020, the rescuers of Artsakh have found and evacuated 1552 bodies from the territories under the control of Azerbaijan.
During the search, the bodies were exchanged between the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides from time to time.
