In Kazan Acting RA Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan told journalists at what stage the activity of the working group consisting of the Deputy Prime Ministers of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan is.
Grigoryan stressed that the work of the working group proceeds within the framework of the content of the trilateral statement of January 11, and there are two expert subgroups created within that framework.
“We are discussing a situation in which, in case of implementation of the statement, the relations should be regulated by the legal basis of the CIS countries, international treaties, conventions to which Armenia is a party, which are in force today,” Grigoryan said.
According to him, the expert work must show if all the provisions are applicable, and can be applied to the relations that will be formed in case of unblocking.
As for the work of the Deputy Prime Ministers of the three countries, he noted that at the moment the actions are carried out within the framework of January 11.
“When there is an opportunity to make decisions based on an expert opinion, then decisions will be made or will not be made in the general context. Technical possibilities are being discussed more at the moment. In reality, the most likely option is the recovery of the infrastructure. There used to be infrastructures, which means that the technical possibility of having such an infrastructure in this or that place actually exists, but what is their condition now, in what terms, what mobilization of resources can be done, it must be calculated, technical inspection must be carried out,” stated the Acting Deputy Prime Minister.
According to Grigoryan, as a result of the activities of the working group, it is possible to find a solution that will bring balanced interests, and they also always guarantee security.
