Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated that he assesses the activity of Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh as effective, RIA Novosti reports.
“I would like to emphasize the role that Russia and President Vladimir Putin played in ending the war in Nagorno-Karabakh. I would like to emphasize that I assess the activity of Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh as effective. It is obvious to us now,” Nikol Pashinyan stated during a meeting with the Russian Prime Minister.
He reminded that the work of the trilateral commission chaired by the deputy prime ministers of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan continues.
“However, I would like to note that so far, unfortunately, Azerbaijan has not fulfilled the most important provision of the November 9 trilateral statement. It refers to the return of prisoners of war (POWs) and other detainees,” said Nikol Pashinyan.
Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan thanked Russia for “its efforts to resolve this issue.”
