Acting Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan had a video meeting with International Finance Corporation (IFC) Regional Vice President Georgina Baker.
Welcoming the colleagues, Grigoryan highly assessed Armenia’s cooperation with the IFC, especially in the difficult pandemic and post-war period.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the coronavirus vaccination process in Armenia. In this context, the Acting Deputy Prime Minister presented the policy adopted by the RA Government and the steps already taken in this direction.
During the meeting, the opportunities for the development of the capital market in Armenia and the role of IFC in that process were discussed. Reference was made to the involvement of IFC in Small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) financing, as well as the capacity of IFC consulting services in terms of assessing investment potential in various areas.
Grigoryan and Georgina Baker discussed the prospects of developing cooperation in the fields of energy, digitalization and high technologies. The need to develop women’s business in Armenia was also stressed, and views were exchanged on the efforts made in that direction.
