The Armenian Ministry of Environment released a clarification in response to the media statement, which reads: “It is Sosiner Park. Are the Aliyevs already moving freely through Syunik province?"
“The area shown in the photo is not the territory of the ‘Pine Park’ (Sosu Purak) state reserve. It is the continuation of the plantation of the pine tree species in the area fallen under the control of Azerbaijan, due to the recent war, in the area of the Tsav River valley.
‘Pine Park’ state reserve, the area of which is 64.2 hectares, is located in the administrative territory of Nerkin Hand settlement of Syunik province of the Republic of Armenia, under the protection of ‘Zangezur’ biosphere complex SNCO.
Border crossings with clear coordinates were installed in the reserve before the war, which has not been subject to border changes.
We urge you to refrain from spreading blatant misinformation and deliberately manipulating information".
