RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan resigns today to trigger snap parliamentary elections scheduled for June 20.
According to the RA Constitution, snap parliamentary elections are possible only when the Prime Minister resigns and the Parliament does not elect a new PM twice in a row two weeks after the resignation of the Prime Minister. After that, the Parliament is considered dissolved by virtue of law, and snap parliamentary elections take place no early than 30 and no later than 45 days.
