Lebanese Foreign Minister Charbel Wehbe sent a letter to his Armenian counterpart Ara Aivazian on the occasion of the 106-th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, expressing solidarity to Armenia and the Armenian Diaspora.
He has particularly written in the letter: “As you are the bearer of the Armenian Cause, and preserve it in the minds of the future generations, be sure that you can always count on the friendship and support of Lebanon, as well as the solidarity of our peoples. On April 24, let us remember that injustice is never permanent, nor is impunity eternal.”
The minister noted that the Armenian Genocide is a painful and tragic lesson to never again allow its repetition.
