Armen Simonyan Armenia’s Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure received the delegation led by Amin Tarafo, the director general of the international corridors department of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
During the meeting, a number of issues related to the cooperation between Armenia and Iran within the framework of the ‘Persian Gulf-Black Sea’ international transport corridor and the ‘North-South’ road corridor projects were discussed.
Reference was also made to the possibilities of regulating and facilitating the procedures related to the organization of Iranian cargo transportation in the territory of Armenia.
The head of the Iranian delegation and the RA Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure reaffirmed the readiness to further deepen bilateral cooperation within the framework of road infrastructure projects and transport communication.
During the meeting the parties discussed other issues of mutual interest.
