Handcuffs were attached to the gates of the UN Office in Armenia so that the organization would not forget about the Armenian captives. Members of the ‘Miaban’ (United) initiative held a silent protest in front of the office today. The participants demanded practical steps for the immediate return of the captives.
They sent a letter to the UN, describing in detail Azerbaijan’s war crimes. The letter was also sent to the Russian Embassy to Armenia. Silent protests were held today in 15 cities around the world, from Moscow to Paris and New York.
“We have all understood that our united voice will sound much stronger, it will reach the addressees much faster. So today thousands of people, Armenians, not only Armenians, will take to the streets in Yerevan, 15-16 cities around the world, demanding the return of Armenian prisoners of war,” says Seda Grigoryan, member of ‘Miaban’ initiative.
