The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin (Headquarters of Armenian Apostolic Church) has issued a statement condemning the so-called ‘Strategist Park’ opened in Baku.
“Another so-called manifestation of anti-Armenianism was the so-called ‘Strategist Park’ recently opened in Baku, with inhuman, humiliating scenes depicting Armenian soldiers and prisoners of war.
The Azerbaijani leadership continues to pursue its policy of inciting ethnic hostility, ignoring the basic norms of international humanitarian law.
Today, our captive sons continue to suffer in Azerbaijani prisons, thousands of displaced and deprived families suffer, and the atrocities against our thousand-year-old cultural heritage continue in the occupied and surrendered Artsakh territories.
The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, condemning the inhumane and immoral acts of Azerbaijan in the post-war period, calls on the international community, relevant organizations and institutions to properly assess these phenomena of gross human rights violations and insults to the nation’s dignity,” the Mother See statement reads.
