“We must state that the axis of ensuring the external security of the Republic of Armenia is the Armenian-Russian military alliance, which is strengthened by several dozens of international agreements of a strategic nature, with mutual allied obligations, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated. He was presenting the report on the implementation process and the results of the RA Government program 2020 at the National Assembly.
“The joint Armenian-Russian military grouping, the joint Armenian-Russian air defense system in the Caucasus region of collective security are of practical importance for the security of the Republic of Armenia. According to the logic of the agreements formed by these two systems, an attack on Armenia means an attack on Russia; the two countries must jointly face external challenges. In this context, the large-scale reform process of the Armenian Armed Forces has been launched, which will include first structural and then substantive reforms”, Pashinyan said.
