European Parliament member Francois-Xavier Bellamy, who visited Armenia a few days ago, stated that Europe’s honor demands that the European Union, after the Azerbaijani military aggression with the help of Turkey, finally supports the wounded country, French Le Figaro newspaper reports.
During his visit to Yerevan, the European Parliament member recalled the situation in Yerablur (Military Pantheon) on Easter, when many families were praying in oppressive silence.
He stated that thousands of Armenians were killed and wounded as a result of the Turkish-Azerbaijani aggression. The European Parliament member draws everyone’s attention to the issue of Armenian prisoners of war (POWs) being held in Azerbaijan. François-Xavier Bellamy wrote on his Twitter that by demanding the release of the Armenian captives, Europe would finally show that it has not lost its principles, its responsibility and its eternal connection with that country.
