Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh participated in renovation of monuments dedicated to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War, the Russian Defense Ministry reports.
The peacekeepers together with the locals restored and painted the fence and cleaned the area and the monument in Noragyugh community.
The monument was erected in 1960s in memory of the men who went to the frontline from Noragyugh to sacrifice their lives in the war against Nazi regime.
In total, the Center for Humanitarian Response in Nagorno-Karabakh has 58 monuments dedicated to the soldiers who fought on the front in 1941-1945. So far, 29 have been renovated.
