From April 5 to April 9, 2021, the Humanitarian Demining Center Foundation found and destroyed 6,354 types of projectiles and ammunition in the territory of the village of Aygestan in Artsakh, according to the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).
Work was carried out in the areas of Martuni region and in the city of Martakert. As a result, 161 pieces of ammunition were found in the territory of Martuni region, 570 pieces of different types of projectiles and ammunition were destroyed, and 10 pieces of ammunition were found in the city of Martakert, 111 pieces of projectiles and ammunition were destroyed.
Now, the works are going on in the villages of Aygestan, Khnatsakh, Martakert region, Karmir Shuka, Berdashen and Nengih villages of Martuni region.
As a result of the work done since September 27, 2020, 558,604 pieces of projectiles and ammunition have been found and destroyed in the territory of the Republic of Artsakh.
Since November 22, 2020, the Humanitarian Demining Center has been carrying out demining works with the Demining Center of the Russian Federation, and since December 7, 2020, together with the sapper group of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation.
