The Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan published the court act on the motion of the defense attorneys to terminate the criminal prosecution of Robert Kocharyan and others under Article 300․1 of the Criminal Code of Armenia and to terminate the proceedings in that regard.
According to the decision of Judge Anna Danibekyan, the criminal prosecution against Robert Kocharyan was terminated based on the absence of a crime, and the defense attorneys’ motion to eliminate or reduce the bail applied to Kocharyan was rejected.
The criminal prosecution against Seyran Ohanyan was terminated based on the absence of a crime, the precautionary measure on not leaving and the bail applied to the property were removed.
The criminal prosecution against Yuri Khachaturov was terminated based on the absence of a crime, and the bail imposed on him and his financial means was lifted.
The criminal prosecution against Armen Gevorgyan was also terminated due to the absence of a crime.
The court decided to terminate the criminal case against them under Article 300․1 of the Criminal Code.
The court ruled on other charges against Robert Kocharyan and Armen Gevorgyan, particularly, to continue the criminal case on the charges against Kocharyan under Article 311, Part 4, Clause 2 of the Criminal Code and against Gevorgyan on Article 311, Part 4, Clause 2 and Article 190, Part 3, Clause 1 of the Criminal Code.
